Hi, my name is Siobhan but feel free to call me Shiv. I'm the co-owner of 'Unit 16' Gym, Personal Trainer and competing Strength Athlete but my passion is getting women of all ages, abilities and backgrounds into strength training and introducing more ladies to the sport of Strongwoman. I want to create a community of strong, likeminded, supportive women who socialise together and do other activities other than just strength and fitness training. I want women to be proud of what their bodies can achieve, feel empowered and create new meaningful friendships through being strong and badass.

PRODUCTS A Strongwoman Competition day out Feb 2020
Some of the Saturday Strongwoman ladies competed in their first ever Strongwoman novice competition in February 2020 coached by Shiv. It was such a fun day, if a little cold! The ladies did fantastic hitting lots of personal bests and coming together to support each other, even with awesome matching mermaid leggings! There is no pressure to compete if you attend the Strongwoman sessions but you might just catch the bug!

At Unit16 there is a big shutter door and large outdoor area where we can warm up and train with lots of space when the weather allows. Summer means we can catch a few rays whilst lifting weights.

The SD Strength community isn’t all about the weight’s, we like to pick different challenges such as obstacle races, trampolining, hiking and we like to have socials where we meet up for food and/or drinks. Strength training at Unit16 is a social hobby which brings people together.
